The Direct Connect portfolio also has NBC content available, which can be retrieved in the same way as the traditional portfolio.

Purpose

This message is used to:
  • Download hotel lists tied to one or more client feeds (BrandCode). These need to be mapped and used in the Search RQ.
  • Pull details for a single hotel (HotelCode).
The logic of this message is the same as for the traditional portfolio

Hotel List Retrieval

To retrieve all hotels, including the Direct Connect products, the OTA_HotelDescriptiveInfo message can be used in its Hotel List format. The usage of this message is explained at HotelDescriptiveInfoRQ and HotelDescriptiveInfoRS

NBC Retrieval

To retrieve the NBC of a specific hotel, the OTA_HotelDescriptiveInfo message can be used in its Single Hotel format. The usage of this message is explained at HotelDescriptiveInfoRQ and HotelDescriptiveInfoRS

Not Supported

The following features are not supported for the Direct Connect API:
  • Retrieve facts & amenities (STOCK template) or a hotel’s room/board/occupancy mapping set (SUMMARY template).
  • Perform geo‑area search (lat/lon + radius) and limit results via MaxResponses.
  • Request delta updates since a point in time using LastUpdateDate.
